PBC's Purpose Statement

   Plummer Bible Church exists to glorify God in Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. We do

this by committing ourselves to loving God through the study and proclamation of His word, by

living lives that reflect that word, by loving the brotherhood of believers through discipleship,

and showing the love of Christ to our community and to our world.

     Each of these objectives is deeply rooted in Scripture, and we want to make that manifestly

clear. First, we desire to glorify God because God Himself acts to glorify God, and has created us for this purpose as well.

     We do this most accurately by exalting Christ, in whom God has made us alive, and through whom God has revealed Himself. Any thought, desire, or action in this direction is a direct result

of the Holy Spirit of God working in us.

     Furthermore, we commit to obey God's command to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind,

and strength. To love Him, we must know Him, and for this reason He has given us the Scriptures.

For this reason, we commit both to studying the Scriptures for our knowledge and growth, and

to proclaim them, that others may know.

     It is our aim to live lives that reflect God's word to our world, specifically by loving the brotherhood of believers. We also want to see our community and our world cared for,

and most importantly, saved by our glorious KING JESUS!
